There has been updates surrounding the mandatory notification requirement for a positive RAT, as well as changes to definitions and requirements of a diagnosed person, close contact and critical workers.

On 31 December 2021 the NSW Government announced that they will immediately adopt nationally consistent principles (“national principles”) for the definition of a close contact and isolation periods for COVID-19 positive cases.

Amendments to the Public Health Order (“PHO”) have now been published to provide further clarity on the new COVID-19 restrictions announced during the NSW press conference yesterday. With more details available, we have prepared the following updated summary guidelines that are relevant to Members:
